Giant stick insect species discovered in rainforests of Far North Queensland

Researchers have discovered a new species of giant stick insect, Acrophylla alta, in the Wet Tropics region of Australia. The insect, measuring up to 30 centimeters in length, is one of the largest stick insects known to exist and represents a significant finding for the region's biodiversity.
