Offline card payments should be possible no later than 1 July 2026

The Swedish central bank, Riksbank, has announced that offline card payments should be possible in Sweden no later than July 1, 2026, ensuring continued access to cash payments even in the event of power outages or other disruptions to digital payment systems.
